Cutie-cute bijou

I'm at it again - doing the collages of the bijous that I like. The only problem with me is that it always stays on paper or better say on the screen and never comes to life, I never buy bijous. I step in the Accessorize with a determination to buy some cutie cutes, "This time I'll do it" I say to myself but the result is ALWAYS the same - I stand in front of the bijous for a very, I mean it, very long time, I think and think and think, and then just turn around and leave. I just can't, it's not the problem of money, it's a problem of my background, every time I want to buy something like this

I hear my Mom's words in my head, "Respect yourself, don't buy bijous, they are cheap and therefore make you look cheap, gold and diamonds are the best". Surely, I agree with Mom on gold and diamonds, what can be better than they are?, but really sometimes you just want something light and different and fun and bright and girlie and romantic rather than good old diamonds. So I hope next time my feet bring me to Accessorize or any other shop like that, I will buy something, I must, I want to get rid of that little complex of mine.

There isn't much information about Soleil Sucre brand except the fact that it's a French company owned by Elisa who creates glamorous refined lingerie for both men and women at very low prices therefore offering its clients an alternative between the mass market and luxe.

The Alice in Wonderland has been highly exploited recently due to the success of Tim Burton's film but you know what, it never bored me so I'm glad that this photoshoot featured the models as sexy and naughty Alice. The colour palette of the lingerie - well, as you can see it's a rainbow. Lots of candy canes, sweet, sweet, sweet!

Now that's what I call haute couture! High class! Amber Myles Arbucci is like a water nymph surrounded by high-tech environment. The patches of reflected light in the turquoise waters create an amazing effect as a background for the photoshoot of this highly sensual lingerie. Oceania world awaits :)

Pleasure State White Label

Is this not a butterfly realm? Is Alina Baikova not the butterfly queen? I mean it, folks, this is amazing. I love this sort of photos showing the meekness and femininity. The photographer Anna Dabrowska created a fairylike world of Bohemian Butterfly (AW 2011) which is absolutely gorgeous.

Pleasure State VIP

Based in Sydney, Australia, Pleasure State is a high-end lingerie brand that was launched in 2004 and has rapidly grown to being one of the hottest lingerie producers. It includes 4 distinctive lines: Pleasure State Couture (signature collection), Pleasure State White Label (diffusion line), Pleasure State VIP (mostly for curvy and big-busted women) and Pleasure State My Fit (basics). Now, this cover is on Pleasure State VIP which has recently produced a sexy and wild AW 2011 collection featuring the model Donna Feldman in the jungle. Ellipse lingerie

I haven't been posting on lingerie for a long time, lazy me. But from tomorrow on I shall put everything right again and you will see lots of lingerie from me. I've been keeping these photos of Ellipse lingerie, a Colombian company founded in Medellin in 1985, for about two weeks or even more in my laptop, today I finally decided to make a cover on this company. It has a wide product range - not only underwear but also pajamas, loungewear, swimsuits and a range of bridal lingerie.  Check the collection inside. Now this is really HOT!

Love the simple combination

Recently I've seen the F/W 2011/2012 Margaret Howell collection and I fell in love with this combination of a skirt and a pullover with a belt. It's so simple but at the same time it never occurred to me. The moment I saw these looks, I decided I should try them on.

 I also loved the grey suede shoes, the coat and this simple look of pants and a long sweater. Looking nice is as simple as that :)

Bleak House

 It's the second time I watch the BBC Charles Dickens "Bleak House" series, yet I still can not recognise Gillian Anderson (X-Files Scully) as Lady Dedlock. Such a change, I just can't believe my eyes. Her play is absolutely gorgeous - a perfectly calm facade, sometimes it seems she has neither feeling nor emotions, just as a Victorian aristocratic lady should be, but actually there are storms inside.
Most of all I like the way they managed to create that Victorian atmosphere - cruel, well-mannered, inconsolable, mud, poverty and fatal disease, it seems consumption was a curse that could hit anyone. Through the scenes depicting the city you can almost feel that damp smoggy air when a light flu could end lethally. But even in that rotten environment roses bloom, I mean the character of Esther who is so nice and sweet and generous that draws all your sympathies at once.

And poor Ada (played by lovely Carey Mulligan) who enjoyed a marriage life for too short a period, the only consolation for her after the death of her beloved husband and cousin Richard Carstone, is their baby, that's all that's left of their love but in this baby their love still grows and it reminds her that their sufferings were not in vain.

Oh, and there is a crowd of minor characters that would certainly draw your attention, some by sympathy, some by disgust like Mr. Smallweed. "Shake me up, Judy", his looks are genuinly disgusting, my tribute to great make-up. On the whole, just watch it.

O'2ND ad campaign

The O'2ND ad campaign features Sigrid Agren, Julija Steponaviciute and Molly Smith in the fairy-like realm "where the wild roses grow". It's all about femininity and romance, these 60s-like ribbons in the hair, dresses and gloves.

Lauren Conrad's Paper Crown

I stumbled upon the first photos from Lauren Conrad's Paper Crown collection. This girl is a talented designer, I must say. I enjoyed the looks Lauren created. Actually looking at this collection, the image of Lauren immediately comes to your mind, it perfectly reflects her style, gentle and ultra feminine, airy and elegant. Most of all I liked the last two looks, the combination of high-waisted leather skirt and a chiffon blouse creates a very stylish sexy look and the long chiffon dress is all about romance.

Victoria Buckley Jewellery Ad Campaign

There is nothing better than a lovely and creative ad campaign, it produces a deep impact on the potential customer, as a result the sellings rise. This is a golden rule of a good marketing manager. Victoria Buckley's mini-ad campaign for her diamond collection The White Russians is a perfect example of such creativity and loveliness. Using an exquisite porcelain doll handcrafted by Marina Bychkova from Enchanted Doll is an absolutely perfect way to showcase the refine jewellery. It adds to the effect of the fairyland and magic that can often be felt looking at Buckley's jewellery.

Verdissima You, S/S 2011

It's been a revelation for me to learn that Verdissima has gone into the garment production. Besides it's not its first clothing collection. Well, anyway better late that never. Here is You clothing range of simple but at the same time striking style. It blends sweetness with rather classic but trendy  silhouettes. Suede bags and accessories make a perfect combination with every piece featured completing each look.

This photo shooting featuring Verdissima's swimwear collection has that subtle gypsy feel, the horse adds to that effect bringing out the free spirit of the one who rides it. The collection includes classic triangle and bandeau tops varying in shape and lovely beach dresses which actually can be worn not only at the seaside. 

Verdissima Lingerie, S/S 2011

Looking at this sweet lingerie collection by Verdissima I was daydreaming. It has this lovely atmosphere of a nice sunny morning, you wake up, smile, stretch and yawn and you feel gentle soft fabrics against your skin. Wonderful! I like that white deep balconette bra, by the way :)

Maaji for little fashionistas

As I said before Maaji has a kids swimwear line which copies the bikinis for big girls. We all know that kids especially girls love to copy their mothers. So I think it's fun wearing the same bikini just like Mum's.  Look at these lovely happy faces. I'm sure the girls enjoyed the photo shooting.

Pepa Loves, S/S 2011

As far as I can see Spain is a treasury of clothing brands. This one I found yesterday and I fell in love with the simplicity, romanticism and tenderness. Pepa Loves is a company from Malaga offering nice pieces of clothing for girls under 20. At least I think that these clothes are for girls under 20 or in their early 20s. Actually I'm in my late 20s but I would like to have a piece or two from this collection. So, Jenny loves! :)

Diksi S/S 2011

Now here is another brand in the long list of Spanish brands called Diksi. Actually it stands for "di que si" meaning "say yes". Say yes to life and style. And once again the story of Alice in Wonderland does not let the designers sleep in peace and quiet :)

Lauren Conrad for Kohl's

Yesterday I found a lovely lookbook by The Hills reality series star Lauren Conrad presenting her collection LC S/S 2011 for Kohl's. The designs are very pretty and do not cost a fortune so Lauren was right targeting the mass market. The photo shoot has that Alice in Wonderland feel - cupcakes and tea party in the garden. I love Lauren's dresses - romantic, girlie and cute.

Carnaval of colours at Maaji Swimwear

What do you see in this picture? I mean, apart from crowds of people and  a half-naked woman. Yeah, right. It's a carnaval. Bright, juicy colours.  It's a carnaval of colours. Just like at Maaji Swimwear collection 2011. Maaji is a Colombian company producing swimwear for women and girls since 2002. This is a great mixture of tutti-frutti colours and shapes. Huit Lingerie and Swimwear S/S 2011

Another brand of the Eveden giant Huit has presented its spring/summer 2011 collection. It consists mostly of the sets in a single colour like blue, yellow, grey. One of the sets features Huit's signature decoration - scallop panels in the bra and brief. Check the lingerie and swimwear collection inside.

Thrill, brrrr...

Yesterday finished the book by Brigitte Aubert The Four Sons of Dr. March. Now that was a nice thrilling story!
Jenny, a maid at Dr. March's place, finds a diary of a sadist murderer who lives in the house, the only problem is who out of the doctor's four twin sons is this cruel maniac? The storyline holds you in  constant intense until it brings you to the completely unexpected final where the skeleton drops out of the cupboard :) Take my word, you won't regret reading that.

Spring at Les Jupons de Tess



Apart from Les Jupons de Tess main spring-summer 2011 collection there is a new range called LJT. I enjoyed the sunny photos taken in the natural environment, it adds to the femininity and romance. The detailing is wonderful - airy fabrics, pastel hues from dusty pink to light green, rushes and lace, bows and ribbons - altogether it makes the lingerie girlish and cute.

I'm in love with Maui Swimwear

Look what I found a couple of days ago. Gee, this is something amazing! When I saw these bright colours I immediately thought that this brand deserved a cover in my blog. Let me introduce you to Maui Swimwear, a Colombian company that starts its history in 2007. Natalia and Catalina Castellanos decided to offer women a product that would combine high quality and art, style and design at the same time. Well, let me tell you something, you certainly achieved your goal. Girls, you rock!

I checked Maui's points of sale, well, it desperately needs to expand. It's a crime that other women in the world can not enjoy wearing such wonderful bikinis. Please, please, bring your products to Turkey, open a branch here and hire me for a job. I promise I will be your best employee in love with the products :)
